II CARRERA POPULAR DE MAHORA

Por Cosme: Calurosa carrera la que hemos disputado en Mahora. Aunque oficialmente pone 8 kms, fueron 7,550 los que realmente disputamos y como finalmente nos han computado las medias en la web championchip. De hecho yo he pasado de hacer la carrera a 4;37 según el papel que nos han dado a hacerla en 4;53 según la web. Cosas de las mediciones. Así que 7,550 kms de calor, callejeo, subida por el panizo y de bochorno generalizado pues la hora (19:30) y el día (31 de julio) evidentemente no invitan ni a correr... y mucho menos a correr rápido. Quizás haber retrasado la carrera a las 20:00, teniendo en cuenta lo corta que era, hubiera venido mejor. Pero bueno... Eso sí... el calor ha hecho mella... Excepción, claro, de nuestros grandes máquinas. Diego, por ejemplo, que le ha dado igual eso del calor y se ha quedado el 23 de la general. O el propio Sebas, Gato y Patri (éste último recuperándose de la lesión) y que han corrido por debajo de 4 min/km. Hemos competido 22 personas del club (algo que no está mal para las fechas) y han completado el TopOcho Cuevas, Paqués, Calero y Jose Ángel con una carrera también muy buena. Jose Ángel poco a poco se va recuperando del gran parón de dose meses y medio que le sometió su rodilla, algo bueno para él y también para el club. Yo no me he encontrado muy mal, he hecho el 363 de 700, lo que significa por la mitad (algo que no está mal) pero no estoy en la forma de hace mes y medio. Ahora me voy unos 5 días de vacaciones a la playa... y no creo que la recupere ahí... y para colmo el sábado Villamalea y casi 17 kms... que Dios me pille confesao
